Camerata Singers Past Seasons

The 2009-2010 season opened in grand style with three Mendelssohn Oratorio Choruses from Christus (There shall a star from Jacob come forth), St. Paul (How lovely are the messengers), and Elijah (He watching over Israel), as part of the Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra’s annual Gala at Symphony Hall on Saturday, November 21, 2009, starting at 7:30pm.  The season continued near Christmas with a charming French Noel theme featuring Charpentier’s Messe de Minuit pour Noel (Christmas Midnight Mass) and Saint-Saëns Oratorio de Noel (Christmas Oratorio) at First Presbyterian Church, Allentown, on Monday, December 21, 2009, starting at 8:00pm. The Spring concert concluded the 2009-2010 season with a Mozart Festival featuring Vesperae Solennes de Confessore, Litaniae Lauretanae in D, Mass in C (Coronation), and Ave Verum at Wesley Church, Bethlehem, on Saturday, April 17, 2010, starting at 8:00pm.
